31 Marketplace is an agency based in Gilbert, AZ with a passion for partnering with women to amplify their impact without sacrificing themselves to do it. Our 4 person team is distributed locally and globally. 


We are looking for an outgoing and self-motivated Business Development Assistant to join our team. As a Business Development Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting market research, pitching and presenting the CEO for aligned marketing, PR and networking opportunities and nurturing marketplace connections. 


In this Business Development Assistant role, you will work with the CEO and company’s OBM to drive top-line revenue growth. Success in this role will be demonstrated by your ability to identify, grow and maintain business relationships and opportunities. 


This is a contracted, part-time, work-at-home opportunity.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Meeting business goals and objectives

  • Deepen industry knowledge and understanding of the company’s clientele and offerings

  • Conducting ecosystem research to identify new connections and business opportunities

  • Analyzing competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth in specific markets

  • Co-developing and executing strategic outreach plans to increase connections and leads 

  • Drafting correspondence such as letters, emails, and proposals to identified connections

  • Working closely with the CEO to review and pitch proposals and outreach materials

  • Managing strategic partner relationships using CRM and project management tools

  • Scheduling appointments between CEO and connections to discuss opportunities

  • Ensuring all business development activities are executed in a timely manner

  • Tracking business development KPIs and resulting revenue


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or work experience as a Business Development Assistant

  • Ability to overcome objections and manage time effectively

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relational equity with marketplace connections

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work well in a team and independently

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Experience working in a flexible and changing environment

  • Familiarity working with Dubsado and Asana
